About the author
Burning Eyes is Jasmine’s first novel. She began writing short stories when she was in seventh grade. She often presented her work to her English teachers to solicit advice and encouragement. Shay Duncan, her eighth grade English teacher answered her call and was her first unofficial editor of her draft novels. Jasmine is currently in the process of writing two more novels. Jasmine is the youngest of three children. She has two brothers James and Jamal. Jasmine was born and raised for 14 years in Chesapeake, Virginia before moving to Herndon, Virginia for two years. She and her parents, James and Atleacia live in Ashburn, Virginia. She will graduate from Stonebridge High School in 2016. She plans to attend college and major in Environmental Science and Creative Writing.
