Overview
This is a basic way to build a machine to cut spiral grooves inside any tube or gun barrel.
Description
This is how to build a machine , using basic wood working tools to be found in most home workshops. My power tools include a radial arm saw , an electric drill or a drill press and a hand router. Hand tools include a few screw drivers, squares tape measure, hammer and a few others normally found in most households. The machine described will, if done right, produce an accurate barrel of a variety of bores, lengths and twist rates.
About the author
I was raised in semi-rural north eastern Ohio with an interest in hunting and some woodworking and little to no guidance in either. As a high school graduate in 1965, I was exposed to woodworking in our shop class and was permitted to build a stock for my original black powder rifle, an exercise probably forbidden today.
