About the author
Paul Baumann grew up on a farm with livestock in the Pacific NW near Seattle, Washington with his 6 adopted multi-racial siblings. They all had chores and it was mandatory to complete them before homework and dinner. There were no electronic devices, so everyone knew where everyone was supposed to be, at all times. Beginning education at 4 years old and graduating early at 14 after fulfilling all of his high school credits Paul was made to complete the last 2 1/2 years taking the equivalent of A.P. classes (which didn't exist back in the 1970's) because of lack of Driver's License, no car and no fiscal resources to attend college. Paul became a T.A. in Advanced Creative Writing and Advanced Photography which helped formulate the adult years of his yet-to-be-fully-developed passion in Photojournalism. At the tender age of 21yoa, Paul began his intended career as a 911 Dispatcher and Certified Reserve Deputy in Law Enforcement, lasting 3 years. He was not destined to be a cop after all and truly wanted to pursue his passion as a Photojournalist. He started numerous businesses that mainly functioned for the Spring, Summer and Fall portions of the year while taking the 4 months of Winter to travel, film, write and produce documentaries from his forays around the world over decades.
