Description

Brain Reconnected provides insight into how a brain injury impacted the lives of five people. Three of them were involved in accidents resulting in traumatic brain injuries, another had a brain tumor surgically removed, and one had a brain aneurysm surgically repaired before it burst. Each of these five have discovered a "new life" as a result of their injuries.

About The Author

Matt had his first brain injury in 2016 while riding a bicycle, which left him unable to continue his career as an electrical engineer. This was followed by another brain injury in 2022. The second brain injury led to the discovery of a 25mm meningioma which was removed surgically and followed up with radiation treatments. Matt turned to painting and drawing to fill his time, and has not stopped creating art. You can find his artwork website at: www.HuesOfTheWorld.com. Matt teaches a monthly class on Journaling with pen and watercolor for Images of Hope in El Dorado County. These classes are for people going through cancer treatments or other trauma. Matt is also a board member of the Head Trauma Support Project of Sacramento, providing services and support for people with brain injuries and for their caregivers.
