About the author
There was never any need to run away to the circus. Home life in Durban, South Africa, was bouncy enough with eight brothers and sisters and an entertainer, inventor and semi professional sportsman for a father who kept them breathless with bedtime stories from his wild imaginings. Though intensely shy as a child, Luscheyne grew bolder adventuring into an intriguing "Lulu Land" of her own making. At 20, Luscheyne set off for Germany to become a Super Nanny to four-year-old Luka. Together they took farther flung adventures from his 'magic castle' on the back of a storytelling albatross. A stint in London's creative void (IT Land) sent her scurrying across the USA, Canada, Australia and Asia until her purse opened empty. Finally returning to Sydney, she now calls Australia home. She has been one of Australia's digital stars for more than a decade producing a host of frontier digital projects as an Executive Producer and Digital Strategist. Luscheyne finally snapped the corporate leash to create the space to pursue her own dream, racing home to "Lulu Land" and her adopted beagle, Enzo. Born with a rare condition making him half the size of ordinary beagles, and blessed with twice the determination, Luscheyne noticed how Enzo could break barriers among strangers gathering to delight over his proud, wag-happy waddle and unusually short legs. With Enzo by her side for inspiration, Luscheyne's four-book adventure series revved into high-octane reality. There are some beautifully tender moments around themes of diversity and tolerance, alongside the intrigue and adventure of rallying as EnzoB navigates treasure hunts, riddles, clues and competitors. This lustrously illustrated series about a disadvantaged dog explores life's lessons with tremendous substance, chuckle-factor, wit and love. Presenting the undeniable power of dreams attained through persistence and supported by the magic of friendship, each book reveals its delightful cast of characters with humour and insight.
