A black cat is unwanted and dumped on a country road. He sets out to find a nice home before winter. After several tries, and unhappy experience,s he finds an elderly couple and goes about winning their affection. He must win the heart of the old woman to stay. This is not as easy as he thought it would be. The old woman doesn't want him. He wants to live here and goes about trying to make her want him. He feels this is a good home for him. The old man is all for him staying, the old woman must want him.

B Jo Hickman, author of Boo Finds A Home, and Old Cat, Fat Rat And Boo, lives in a rural area of West Virginia, is involved in many crafts. Her quilts number over 200 and have been sold in several countries, as well as the United States. B Jo is well known for her art work, as an artist and gourdcrafter. She has 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren. She works as a tax preparer for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. The children´s books are a result of stories told to her grandchildren, whom she loves dearly.
