About the author
Marjory Boyle Crooks is an artist, textile designer, illustrator, filmmaker and lecturer who has worked for many years in commercial design and has of late been lecturing in multimedia computer arts and design at Edinburgh College. Now working at Management level at Edinburgh College she has recently been enjoying the freedom to be creative and imaginative in her spare time and has returned to her love of story and character illustration. The first in a series of children's books based on a local legend of a heroic Greyhound dog from the town where she now lives. These stories were initially small mini publications in the local Magazine named after the dog 'The Black Bitch'. These have been so popular that Marjory has developed the stories for children to read.
