Description
This cookbook is being created to give light into NYC bodega culture and foods within the inner city. The cookbook developed 30+ entire recipes from bodega's top food sales and popularity using an interview approach within businesses. Recipes are divided by breakfast, lunch, and a smoothie section as well. The motive behind this cookbook is most people outside of NYC have no idea what a bodega is. Bodegas are a staple to many NYC communities and visited daily by most New Yorkers. This cookbook has created something of fun and humorous but also have some very traditional recipes.
About the author
Manny Suazo is a food studies Master's recipient and currently works in the food industry. His expertise extends from hospitality to food writing as well of public work in federal agencies in food safety. After graduating from NYU with his Master's, he decided to continue his thesis and create this publication. This work was created to bring recognition to New York City's Bodegas and to bring light into all they do.
