City drugs and murder invade the tranquil shores of Black Lake, terrifying Hannah in the first story and in story two Hannah rescues a little girl from her kidnappers while trapped in an ice storm. An heirloom ring goes missing in story three, twists and turns reveal unlikely thieves, and a gruesome murder nearly gets Hannah killed in story four.

Hannah and Tom Wilton spend their summers and some winter weekends at Blue Heron Cottage enjoying their retirement, on the shores of Black Lake Perth Ontario, Canada. Hannah, amateur sleuth and photographer, has a propensity to get involved in strange, quirky and dangerous happenings, including murder and drugs, unlikely thieves and a cunning kidnapping.

Susan A jennings began writing later in life and is the author of many short stories, a collection of cozy mystery stories 'Blue Heron Mysteries' a memoir 'Save some for me,' a story of a single mother abandoned with five children and a contributing author to 'Black Lake Chronicles', Volumes 1,2,3,4 by The Ottawa Story Spinners. she recently completed a novel which will be available in 2015.
