Description
"If I’d just been born a normal human, then being a medical examiner wouldn’t be so bad. But no! I’m a necromancer, born with the power to raise the dead. As a result, more than my colleagues scrutinize my case files on supernatural-related deaths. It’s not as though I chose to be born with this extra ability, and I surely didn’t ask to have the Supernatural District interested in me. But for now, I’ll just have to deal with life as it is, and hope it doesn’t bite me in the butt." -Sylvia Stone
Sylvia Stone, M.D. is the expert when it comes to supernatural-related deaths in Indianapolis, Indiana. Unlike her colleagues, Sylvia is a necromancer, which sometimes makes her job a little more complicated – especially when officials call on her from time to time to raise the dead.
One night after raising a dead man to settle a contested will, a friend escorts Sylvia to a meeting with the Vampire Governor of Indianapolis. While worried she might have unintentionally done something to offend the Vampire Governor, she reluctantly goes to the meeting. When he asks her to help locate four vampires who have disappeared, her anxiety only grows. Now she must try to locate these vampires, and pray she doesn’t disappear with them.
