About the author
On the Mountain Dulcimer Dave performs Celtic, European and Old Time American traditional music. David currently plays in the group Idlewild with his wife Carol, in which he also plays flute, whistle, recorders, guitar, tenor banjo, mandolin, bodhran, and tenor vocals. Dave has played music in various ethnic and traditional groups for twenty five years. Prior to becoming a full time musician Dave has several degrees in drawing, painting and sculpture having worked as a network animator, aerospace illustrator, graphics artist and wood carver. David is the Business Agent and Secretary for the American Federation of Musicians, Local 104 in Salt Lake City, Utah. You can hear many of the selections in the sheet music from albums for sale at the major internet stores such as CD Baby and iTunes. The list includes "Black Oak", "The Chalice Well", "Dans des le Marionette", "Promontory", "The Black Swan" and "Le Mont Sant Michel".
