Enrolling at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Pam Heavner majored in Fine Arts. After a brief time in Richmond, Virginia, she returned to Chapel Hill in 1984, where she met her husband Jim, and began a successful career in Interior Design.
A pioneer in digitally printed textiles, in 2010 she started producing a line of fabric for drapery and upholstery, Pam Heavner Fabric.
Two years later she developed a collection of fine papers and stationery, Pam Heavner Paper.
A lifelong gardener and flower lover took Pam to the White House to help out in the Flower Shop, with special events, such as holidays, Presidential dinners, Military picnics, concerts, ceremonies and Inaugurations.
Featured in Bon Appetit magazine in 1996, Pam was one of their early "farm to table" stories. Using vegetables and herbs from her extensive garden, combined with other locally sourced ingredients, for a summer feast.
Writing has been another lifelong pass time and creative outlet. She is joyful to add "author" to her resume.
