Tyree D'angelo was born and raised in the streets of Philadelphia. After being kidnapped at the age of thirteen and being blamed for it by his family he decided being a victim was no longer an option. He turned to the streets where he quickly learned that all lies were considered to be the truth and to survive he had to do plenty of it. Fours years later deep into the streets underworld he was captured and received seven and half years sentence for charges ranging from aggravated assault, drugs and weapon charges. During that time he lost a few family members and that had such a deep effect on him that it caused him to change his way of thinking and living. He decided to educate himself more and received his G.E.D and in the process he rediscovered and reclaimed his love and passion for writing. B.E.N is his first book of a trilogy he created, written and edited all by himself. Tyree currently still lives in Philadelphia where he continues to strive and struggle on the path of growth and manhood and often gives back to kids of his community and others.
