About the author
Hailing from a small town in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains of southeastern Pennsylvania, Kendall Emmerson Ross was raised in a Scottish/Irish American home. Having been steeped in his Highland & Ireland heritage, Kendall enjoyed the mysteries and magick of the music and stories of his family that were passed to him through many of clan gatherings within his specific clachan of Ross folk. However, the Swiss/German background of his mother also influenced him in a spiritual sense, and imbued him with compassionate and empowering community values and perspectives . . .
Being inspired by music and story, Kendall explored and studied many cultural and subcultural orientations during his vast travels within the United States' sociopolitical, spiritual-artistic, and geographical landscapes of the American frontier . . .
Along the way he connected with many various groups of Hippies, Bohemians, Artists, and spiritual Cosmonauts ~ one of these, in particular, sparked a seed within his soul, and the experiences Kendall gleaned within this subculture of Hippie-Orthodox-Jewish-Spiritual-Cosmic Mystics inspired the story and music of the "Bedouin Dream" NovTrack . . .
Kendall has also been deeply shaped, challenged, and nurtured by his long time interests in, and committments to, Yoga, Professional Healing Arts, Tantra, Organic Permaculture, World Mythologies, Gourmet Cooking, Sport, Sustainable and loving Community Consciousness, all types of Education & Empowerment, Tea & Chocolate, and whatever else ignited his inner passions and awareness. . .
Kendall was grateful to have received a B.S. Degree (with honors) in Secondary Education English and Psychology from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, as well as having been featured in the Performance Group "Quest" which had the great honor of being the opening act for Meatloaf during the University's 1990 homecoming celebrations . . .
Having been raised in an athletically inclined family, Kendall enjoyed the glories and agonies of being an all-star in four sports during High School career, as well as being featured on various county level all-star traveling teams throughout his youth . . .
In all ways Kendall is committed to learning and growing and healing within the process of his personal journey to be a Bard of Gaelic Culture, to be able to keep all aspects of it, and to eventually pass it on to the next generation of Ross folk to be planted securely and lovingly within the Highlands of Ross-shire in the Motherland of Scotland. . .
Thank you to all who have touched, inspired, and empowered my journey in any way ~ you are all angels, ministers of grace, and good neighbor folk alike. . .
