This book documents a piece of family history that would never have been known if she chose not to share it, and Kris never documented it. As a result of the careful consideration and effort on his part,  Fumiko's voice has been preserved in the pages of this book.

A California native who writes poetry, plays with his cats, watches movies, and reads in his free time. He has been writing since he was a child. Mr. Shirey is very close to his grandma, the woman behind this book.
