John Ireland was born into the fantasy world of the movies. His father was an Oscar nominated actor. His mother was a more private artist. Ireland fell in love with words and turned to writing literary fiction. His muses are the crime movies of his youth, combined with French and Italian films from the sixties and seventies. His other books are "About Her Dead Husband," "The Sentimental Killer," "Murder at the Magic Hour," "Oscar Moon Has Seven Days," and "Horace Pope Loves to Steal." His other passions include modern art, cooking, mechanical wristwatches and classic cars. He lives with his wife in Los Angeles.
