Overview
How I survived, being a homosexual. An internal struggle of being gay and of being an artist. I wanted to fit in, and be like everyone else, but that just wasn't who I am.
Description
Journal entries, poems, stories, and rants from the mind of an artist, who found out he was gay, and how the writing and creating helped him make it through, to today. How I learned to accept myself, as a gay male artist, in a world, I knew didn't fully accept me, and how I only wanted to be as everyone else. I later found out that I didn't need to be like everyone else, and it wasn't doing me, or the world any good, by trying to conform, and downplay the brilliance, of who I've become.
About the author
Born in small-town NW PA...drove west to CA in pursuit of "dreams", and finding a more suitable life for him...lived in San Fran, before finally making his way south, to the land of the artists, and misfits, in LA...eventually, was tired and wanted a more quiet, spiritual way of being, so moved to the desert. He practices his art constantly, jumping from medium to medium - singing, acting, writing, performing, visually creating mixed media/collage pieces. He now has his own studio, and aspires to eventually, open up his own working gallery/art space. He supports marriage equality, HIV prevention, and the good of our Earth (recycling).
