Alces P. Adams is a Cajun whose life straddles the Atchafalaya River. He lives in Cut Off, Louisiana, but heads to the West every chance he gets to partake of the active Cajun scene there. He has never been wed and is not aware of having fathered any children. Adams attended LSU for three years and holds a Bachelor of General Studies with a history minor from Nicholls State University. Adams worked as a freelance writer for The Lafourche Gazette for six years and published a hard-copy Cajun history called "Not Forgotten, Not Gone" in 2004.
