John R. Gentile, an Arizona native, has a diverse background that includes SCUBA diving, sea kayaking, rock climbing and wildlife photography. For ten years, he and his marine biologist wife, Katie Iverson, observed and photographed a population of bottlenose dolphins in the Gulf of California. He and Katie have kayaked with orcas in British Columbia, traveled to the headwaters of the Amazon in Peru, photographed the wildlife in Tanzania, circumnavigated the continent of Australia, and led trips to Baja California, Mexico, to observe dolphins and whales. His writing incorporates epic story telling with likable yet flawed characters, insightful moments with wildlife, and just a touch of mysticism. "Baja Redemption," an eco-thriller, is his fourth novel and the first book in the Guardians of Gaia series.
