Bacon and Me

Annalee is a girl who is attached to her cell phone. Imagine her dismay when she must spend a week with her grandmother in a town with no cell phone service. What's a girl to do? There's lots of fun to be had with a pet pig named Bacon and a super grandma who rides a Harley. Who knew life could be so much fun without a cell phone?

Annalee loves her cell phone and she is not happy when she learns she must spend a week at her grandmother's home where there is no cell phone service. There is not even a movie theater. She thinks she will be bored out of her mind. But it's hard to be bored with a quirky grandmother who has a pet pig named Bacon and gets everywhere by riding on an old Harley Davidson motorcycle. Annalee's eyes are opened to another world with the help of Gram and Bacon; a world without a cell phone. There are posters to make, causes to rally around, new friends to meet, rides on the Harley, cookies to make and some good conversation. What a surprise!

Nancy Sneed Boldrick worked within the educational system as an elementary classroom teacher, reading specialist and school counselor for 37 years. Reading to children has always been a rewarding activity for her and now she enjoys writing poems and stories that she feels will be entertaining to the young.
