John G. Richards is the author of several acclaimed novels, including: The Fish House Gang, A Southern Son, and Back to the Sea. He is a graduate of The Citadel and the South Carolina Executive Institute. He attended the University of South Carolina School of Law and was the Chief Insurance Commissioner of South Carolina for over a decade. He lives on a farm in South Carolina.
