About the author
Michael Nolan spent six years, more or less, in Asia. For the last two, he lived in Bangkok, married to a woman who speaks like Poon and writing textbooks for a South Korean company that may or may not have existed. He never worked for the mafia that he’s aware of, unless you count that stint teaching military cadets, and was only beaten up the once - and the cabbie probably was in the right that time. Before fleeing the Midwest, he worked as a reporter, test grader, band manager, FedEx box-thrower and night watchman, but not all at once. He currently lives in New York.
