Retired Chief Brian Sands is an eight year Veteran of the United States Army and a thirty year Veteran of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. While working as a deputy sheriff, he served in Patrol, Organized Crime Investigations, Homicide, and Narcotics. As a narcotics detective, Brian was an assigned task force agent with the United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). Brian is a member of the National Writers Union. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western International University. Since his retirement from law enforcement, Brian lives with his family and has residences in Phoenix, AZ and Los Angeles, CA. Brian is an accomplished world traveler and hopes to publish a subsequent book regarding those ventures.
