Angel in Waiting

"Angel in Waiting" takes place in the near future, it is a coming of age story detailing the lives of twins Josh and Vlad and their older autistic brother Matty. The story is told by Vlad, who at 16 looks back at the appocolyptic events that began when he and josh were only eleven. The story digs deep into the mind of a teenage boy coming of age at a time of world turmoil. Readers will find that even with the near collapse of society, in the mind of a teenager, life still goes on. Their interest in exploration, having fun and their interest in the opposite sex is not abated.

 

The true star of the story however, is Matty. Though challenged with a brain disorder, there is something about him that makes him special, something beyond autism that no one knows. Only Vlad believes that his brother is different. By the end of the story the world will believe as well.

A lively mixture of science fiction, fantasy, and mystery, Angel-in-Waiting is about growing up in an apparently normal family that is all of a sudden thrown into an extraordinary situation.
