About The Author

Chere Berman, M.A. Education-Reading, California State University Fresno, is a teacher, curriculum consultant, writer, conference presenter, reading specialist and mentor. Over a career of 27 years, she has had the privilege of teaching every grade K-12, from the children of migrant farm workers to university students learning English in an international program. Blessed with three amazing grown children and four wonderful grandchildren and having taught thousands of students over the years, she has amassed stories both heart-rending and hilarious. Chere is constantly both learning from her students and looking for opportunities to impart to them hope for the future.
