This book is about a young school child growing into a teenager and the various challenges encountered along the way. This is the story of Alex growing up without a father and being challenged by the school bully. But with a strong determination to always try to be good. He eventually overcame his difficulties and realized that people are all the same and like to be treated kindly.

About the Author: Foley Western is an avid reader and writer. She began her career as a librarian straight from university. She was inspired to write this book by her youngest son. Mrs Western lives in Hampshire with her husband and youngest son in the United Kingdom. This is her second children’s book; the first was “To be young”
