About the author

Since 2006, Steve Richards has been writing on various topics, including "Abigail Mails A Snail," and the well received "11 Strategies To Mastering the College Athletic Recruiting Process." "Abigail Mails A Snail" is a cute story that stemmed from a conversation Steve had with his granddaughter, Abigail. During a break after a long block of reading, the started to make up a story. Abigail became the main character and discussed various animals. The animals had to rhyme with Abigail, so Snail was born. Then they had to figure out once Abigail had a snail what she would do with Snail. So, she decided she was "going to mail her snail to her Grandpa and Nonna." Off they went and the story took shape. It was so much fun to talk it out and develop the book. "11 Strategies To Mastering the College Athletic Recruiting Process" was a labor of love and the byproduct of Steve's oldest son's desire to play baseball in college. That was all Steve needed to embark on significant research and develop the book and create the Top Student Athletes program and website (www.topstudentathletes.com). In this book, and as the Founder of Top Student Athletes, Steve has written key strategies and tasks to assist hundreds of high-school student athletes, parents, and families nationwide with navigating the college athletic recruiting process and helping each realize that knowledge of how the recruiting process works is powerful and required.
