A story about the Bottomless Hippopotamus, the Preposterous Rhinoceros, Elijah the Elephant, and his good friend the Boisterous Baboon, also known as Tabasco Touchas (because Hamadryas Baboons have pink bottoms) which was told to me, Isaac Wilcox, by my grandpa, Buddy Chapler.

My Grandpa Buddy's stories have always been a beacon for me. The tale of the Bottomless Hippopotamus and the Preposterous Rhinoceros introduced me to important concepts through lovable characters and the lessons have never stopped coming. The example he teaches in this story of fulfillment through hard work, ingenuity, playful curiosity and good will inspired a standard of values that I still cherish today. He's also written many plays, including Love Your Crooked Neighbor 1968; So Various, So Beautiful 1998 and Snakes, Charmers 1999. He lives with his wife Ina in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
