Overview
On July 17th 1972 in New York City, a young, privileged entrepreneur, Tad Avaris, is seeking to secure a permanent deferral and not be drafted into the U.S. Army. This would allow him to avoid being sent to Vietnam and permit him to pursue his real estate dreams. Tad takes a somewhat demeaning physical at the Armory in Manhattan and is quite confident that he has a way out of the draft. As if out of nowhere, he is kidnapped and his blond girlfriend develops a harebrained scheme to rescue him. What possibly could go wrong?
