About The Author


Kim Painter Chesney is an accomplished artist.  She often thinks of her childhood living in a house trailer with her six siblings and what they did for fun!  Reading—A LOT. Writing a children's book has been a dream of hers for many years.

She recalls being taught to read by her older brother when she was just four years old.  As a new reader she quickly discovered that books were the best way to explore the vast world beyond her tiny home. The Mysterious Night at the Library is her debut book.  Here she channels that childhood love of reading and adventure into stories for all ages. Kim's book, featuring the dynamic duo Kat and Ollie, celebrates the magic of literacy, making friends and accomplishing goals.
