A Mother's Hope Restored

Overview

It's no secret that being a mother may be the most difficult "job" you will ever work at. This journey of motherhood has a way of taking a turn at times that can become an all consuming cycle of pain and regrets if we allow it. I've been there. I understand the shock, the confusion, the anger and the moments you can't breathe. But because of the grace of Jesus, I have also experienced the moment when air was allowed back into my lungs and my thoughts became more clear. My prayer, as you walk through my story and then the added stories of eight different mothers, is that you, my friend, may experience life giving peace that floods your lungs with oxygen and your spirit with hope.

No matter the stage of motherhood No matter the stage of motherhood you’re in you will get something out of this book. You will leave filled with encouragement and comfort! To know that even when you’re going through what seems like hell on earth you can count on two things 1) God has you walking through this because He knows you can handle it and 2) you ARE NOT alone. So humbling to know that God has faith in me to get through whatever trials motherhood brings that I don’t even see in myself and to know there are others who made it to the other side is so comforting! I encourage anyone who is a mother whether you have an infant or a 40 yr old child to read this. I promise this is for you! Read more

A compelling story of His faithfulness and redemption! This is a candid and compelling, hope-filled story birthed from a painful season of life experienced by a mother. God’s loving faithfulness and redemption is evident throughout! But do not be mistaken and think this book is only for mothers as the title suggests, for its penetrating and poignant message can pierce and grip the heart of any reader. From beginning to end, the author’s raw authenticity and uncanny ability to articulate her vulnerable feelings and thoughts are tangible on every page. No matter what season of life the reader is in, they will find it easy to identify with the heart of the author’s message and appreciate her sincere, straightforward, and applicable battle plan for spiritual breakthrough. Although this compelling story is primarily about one woman’s journey of motherhood, at the end it is also an inspiring compilation of touching and tender life lessons shared from the hearts of eight fervent mothers who have been tried by fire and lived to testify of the Lord’s faithfulness in various seasons of life. Gripping and powerful, poignant and potent, encouraging and faith-stirring, compendious yet profound…the author’s testimony along with these tender stories of restoration and redemption are life-giving and hope-inspiring for all! With such rich nuggets of wisdom scattered throughout the book, it is a story I predict the reader will return to time and time again! Read more

For Any Woman Navigating Difficult Seasons The title might lead you to believe that this book is solely for moms but the wisdom and very practical tips will bring encouragement to any woman who is navigating a difficult season. The writing is both raw and relatable but always dispensing hope. It was so captivating I read her story in one sitting and then the encouragement continued with the additional short stories at the end from other moms. Just what this mama heart needed… I’ve hit a season of discouragement lately in motherhood. Raising a teen and a pre-teen, the timeliness of this book and the encouragement that is woven from the beginning to the end is just the balm this mama heart needed. Deanna’s words of encouragement and her vulnerability to share her story, helped remind me that I am not alone in this beautiful journey of motherhood. The added bonus are the short stories other moms share in the back of the book. I can’t tell you how much those deeply blessed me as well. Thankful. Encouraged. Blessed. Read more

A Beautiful Treasure The first book I’ve read cover to cover in years! Deanna’s story is raw. Transparent. She wrote this for you. She wrote it for me. You will laugh. You will cry. You will find strength. You will most likely feel God’s love wrapped around you. I certainly did. You will, in all likelihood, relate in some way. You don’t even have to be a mother! These stories of hope helped me in areas of my life that have nothing to do with my children. This is a quick read, but you’ll want to read it again! Read more

Glorious little bundle of encouraging stories! The author’s story showcases the power of digging into the Word and the promises it holds for us as women and mothers. I love her rawness when talking about feelings and thoughts when slaps you in the face…physical sting and all. The stories from other ladies with their different situations truly reminded me that victory comes in all shapes, sizes and speeds (not always as fast as we want). Just a wonderful compilation of encouragement and practical ways to face unexpected situations head on, letting the Lord give us every tool we need to rebuild. Read more
