About the author
Joseph Massoud was born in Jaffa, Palestine. In 1948, Joseph, with his family, left Palestine, never to return. With his family--mother, father, eleven children--Joseph spent two years in a refugee camp in Lebanon, and eventually had a home of their own there. In 1956, he and his older brother immigrated to the United States, later sponsoring the rest of the family. Joseph's life in America embodies the American Dream. He came as a young man, ready for new beginnings. He built a successful career as a partner in a thriving business, and, with his wife, raised his children to carry on the values of the Old World and the New, where family, education, hard work, and faith in God are the foundation to a life well lived.
