A is for Astigmatism I love this book!! It is so much fun to read and so clever. The whole family enjoyed it--my five-year-old grandson, my husband and I (both senior citizens). The text makes difficult concepts understandable and the Art work is wonderful! It is especially touching that Dr. Fred worked on the book with his two adult sons Alex and Jason. Bravo to all of you. I hope it can be marketed to teachers and eye doctors’ offices around the country. Read more

A is for astigmatism Dr. Fred's book Is clearly and cleverly written for kids of all ages. It is illustrated by one of his son's and edited by the other with a dedication to his two grandson's. Dr. Fred is a long time friend and colleague with a real concern for educating his patients as well as providing them with the best in professional care. The clarity and simplicity of text belies his profound knowledge base as both an educator and a clinician. He is able to provide easy to understand definitions for lots of terms and concepts which can be a gateway for a greater source of wonder and interest about the miraculous process of vision. This is all to often taken for granted. I highly recommend this book as a starting place to explore something which I have also found fascinating for many years. Michael S. Feinberg, OD Read more

A Is For Astigmatism This is a wonderful book about eyes and vision for anyone aged preschool and older. The book uses the alphabet as a clever and catchy way to organize content and information. The illustrations and photographs are great. This book would be a good gift for someone first getting eyeglasses as well as a good tool in a classroom for students learning anatomy or how our sesnses work. We read A Is For Astigmatism to our grandchildren, ages four and seven and they loved it! Read more

A is for Astigmatism This book is such a great idea - learning the functions of the eye while learning ABC's. It is a book for kids of all ages, including adults! I learned a lot about the eye while reading the book; teachers can use it as part of an elementary school science lesson. The eye is fascinating and the pictures help with the story - the illustrations are wonderful! Such a great gift for children, grandchildren, etc! Read more
