A House Once Stolen

Freelance Reporter, Harper Todd, races to prove that Richard Blackstone stole the Presidency in 2000 and 2004. Harper is aided by a mysterious informant, who seems to have his own agenda, and his editor from the New York Times. Harper also enlists the aid of a law professor to tell him who would be the rightful President in 2000 and 2004.

Freelance reporter, Harper knew in his gut that Richard Blackstone hijacked the Presidential election of 2000, but he couldn't prove it. After Blackstone wins his second election in 2004, Harper gets the rare second chance to prove it. Harper's editor at the New York Times doesn't trust Blackstone either and pays for both trips to Florida, the key battleground state. Harper uses the help of an informant, who seems to be on the "inside" but also has his own agenda. Harper discovers that Blackstone's campaign used a team of operators, who were all former CIA members, and tracks their movements around the country. He also enlists a Constitutional scholar to prove who would be the "real" President, if Blackstone hadn't cheated his way to the White House. All 50 Attorneys General are also alerted, in case Harper fails. Behind the scenes they conduct their own investigation. The Congress wants to impeach Blackstone, but Harper begs them to wait until all the facts are in. Blackstone's former CIA team decides to take a nosy reporter out, but Harper races to prove Blackstone's guilt by eluding them in a race to the finish line.

Kerry Bryant received a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame. He worked on the campaign staff for Governor Jerry Brown, prior to Brown's first term as Governor. Kerry has written several novels.
