Description
This book contains information obtained from Internet reports about female sexual offenders. It describes who they are, what and where the sexual offenses occurred in the context of several psychological theories along with the consequences of the abuse. Some suggestions for further study and treatment are proposed. A significant number of reports were reviewed to determine the ages of the youths offended as well as the ages of those offending. An attempt was made to describe what types of sexual offenses occurred giving consideration to the ages of those offended along with the ages of those offending. The time frame starts in the 1990's and continues through 2012. The majority of offenses reported seem to have increased between 2008 and 2012. Legal consequences were detailed to offer a view of how the judicial system has addressed this issue. Some of the proposals for future study and treatment were offered in light of the findings.
