A Gift for Mama

A Gift for Mama tells the story of a young girl, Kylie who used her hard earned savings to buy her Mama a gift.

When Kylie passes her favorite toy store, she spots a doll she really wants. Mama is quick to let Kylie know she can have the beautiful doll, but she is going to have to save up enough money. Saving up money can be hard. Will Kylie be able to do it?

Maya Imani Dear was born in Maryland and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She is a senior at Delaware State University, majoring in elementary education. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and traveling. Her favorite place to travel is Barbados. In the future, Ms.Dear plans to obtain her doctorate of education and open a chain of child care centers.
