Overview
A proud freedom fighter for an enslaved vampire-hybrid race, Rosa Sanchez-Nieves makes no excuses for who she is or what she does—even if its betraying the man she loves to uphold her iron clad sense of right and wrong. Betrayed and hell bent on bringing his sister's murderers to justice, Caleb O'Shea has shed his apple pie reputation to hunt Rosa unfettered by the shackles of morality—a pursuit that has left him soulless and full of regret. After a brutal vampire attack upon Rosa's hybrid colony, she must swallow her pride and beg Caleb's forgiveness; only with his help, do her hybrids stand a fighting chance. Will Caleb learn to let go of his hatred and embrace the life of redemption Rosa offers? And if he does, can Rosa accept a love she doesn't feel she truly deserves?

About the author
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, to a predominantly Irish Catholic family, I have always been surrounded by natural-born storytellers. After graduating with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Illustration and a minor in psychology, I moved to New York City where I earned a Master's in Professional Studies and Creativity Development from Pratt Institute. For several years, I have practiced as a licensed and board certified Creative Arts Therapist in various healthcare settings in New York City, working predominantly with traumatized women and addiction. Currently, I am a research advisor for Pratt Institute's Creative Arts Therapies Department, and a clinical hisotrian. Writing, drawing, and painting have always been my passion, and I strongly believe there is no greater "mageck" than the curative powers of the creative process.
