Tyria D. Jones has been happily married for 7 years to the love of her life. She is the mother of 4 beautiful young ladies and 3 handsome young men. She also has 5 adorable grandbabies. Her life is filled with overflowing joy, but it hasn't always been so happy or easy. She struggled for most of her life trying to find out who God created her to be. What was her purpose in life? What made her special in God's eyes? It wasn't until she started looking at herself the way that God does that she realized she had a story to share. She realized that her purpose was in that story. One day her husband encouraged her to write a book. In June 2015, she started writing A Crown of Beauty for Ashes. It took a lot of courage for her to share this story. There were times she was afraid to be transparent, but it is what God required. So she surrendered all to allow Him to use her for His work. As she wrote God healed her of every deep hurt and now she is free. You can also break the chains that have you bound. Tyria has always had a ministry for women and served in various leadership roles over the past ten years; however, it is through the pain that she overcame in her own life that God has allowed her to write this book. It is her desire that you will gain deliverance and freedom. It is also her desire to one day start the Tyria Jones Foundation for Women so that others will be able to live a life of freedom. Tyria D. Jones is a Houston-based author and motivational speaker, who has covered abusive relationships, self-esteem and living the abundant life. Tyria has dedicated her life and personal story to fulfill God's purpose of helping women to heal, live a joyous life, love themselves and walk in their purpose. Tyria captured the attention of women across the country when she wrote her memoir, A Crown of Beauty for Ashes, in which she shared her personal journey from surviving an abusive marriage and homelessness to living the life of victory in God. As a teen Tyria, found herself in an undesirable relationship that was the beginning of many obstacles she faced. Tyria D. Jones was born in the city of Pompano Beach, Florida. As a child, she fell in love with reading and writing stories. She grew up journaling her experiences at a tender age. After serving in the military and exploring several career paths, the calling to write was pressed upon her heart. The idea to begin a writing career with her own personal experiences came from her husband Kenneith planting a seed and encouraging her to be brave and speak boldly about what God had done in her life. Tyria has a desire to encourage, support and motivate women in the same struggles.
