Cindy is a wife and mother of three children. She has a Master’s degree in the Art of Teaching and is a Learning Consultant in grades K through 5, where she works as an intervention specialist striving to meet the many varied needs of students. Before being diagnosed with stage-four melanoma in February 2002, Cindy’s life was just “fine” – or so she thought! She had a stable 24-year marriage with her husband, Kent. She and Kent owned a nice home in the suburbs. Their children were in the process of finishing high school or going on to college. The whole family faithfully went to church every Sunday. And she had a great, though all-consuming, career. Cindy’s storybook life was suddenly turned upside down when she received a diagnosis of incurable stage-four melanoma and the prognosis of 6 to 9 months to live. After the initial shock and onslaught of death-gripping fear, Cindy relinquished control of her life to her only source of hope ... Almighty God. She was led to the Lord on February 19, 2002, and she began her blessed journey of faith and healing. Today, Cindy Cox is walking in divine health and passionately declaring the love of Christ and the works of the Lord! Cindy and Kent are graduates of the Life Bible Institute through Life Christian Church in Troy, Michigan. The purpose of this two-year intense course of study is to equip believers to live successfully in every area of their lives and to empower them to reach those around them with the power of God’s Word. That is exactly what Cindy and Kent are doing through the healing ministry that has been birthed out of her own encounter with The Healer. Cindy leads a weekly healing meeting called “Illness Recovery”, where healings are commonplace, and lives are radically changed through the amazing love and grace of God.
