About the author

His studies stem from his early childhood. In 1995 after studying psychology at NVCC he chose to observe the behavioral patterns of those around him as they handled hardship, strife, unpleasant situations and daily routines that cause harm to the emotional environment around us; but only when others initiate it. He developed his investigative humanitarian perspective from his parents and from experiencing life. Yet those hardships have scarred him deeply. His work in Music, Film & Video, Graphic Arts and Literature have a gritty yet refreshing humorous consciousness. While attending Broadcasting School he was hired by a Arlington, Virginia advertising firm. He conceived five advertising / commercial concepts to market a client’s chicken product. His vision led to the creation of two separate commercials that aired on major television broadcasting networks. While employed at two separate night clubs as a DJ / promotor, he honed his skills in print and radio broadcast advertisements. Late winter of 1990 he interned at Anointed Records, Publishing and Recording Studio as an Assistant Recording Engineer, office / studio supply procurement and product marketing / promotion efforts. He then founded ABA Production’s, Inc., Positive Records & Cold Funky Fresh Music Publishing. In late spring of 1991 the self titled album ABA Funk featuring Ron Love & Sa-Z-Dee was released. The song ABA Funk’s Theme received nearly two years of sporadic airplay on the urban radio station 93.9WKYS-FM. Thank you Donnie Simpson and Greg Diggs. The song Street Story was featured on the 95.5WPGC-FM Home Jams program that featured DC, MD, and VA’s aspiring recording artists. Michele Wright hosted the live on air 15 minute interview. Thank you so very much Ms. Wright. The songs Hard Core and Love Rhythm was featured on WPGC’s Party Mix programs as well. In 1992 the songs “Street Story, Hard Core and Hard Core (the doom-days remix) caught the attention of an “Electro Voice” marketing department employee while visiting a A&R rep in New York City. A request to use the three songs to market EV products was relayed and presented to the author. While applying for a party-mix DJ employment opportunity with Howard University’s WHUR-FM radio station with the assistance of a former Pentagon coworker, he received a verbal offer to host the Quiet Storm evening program after the expiration of the late great host, Melvin Lindsey. He declined the offer. He preferred a talk show format, not a progressive R&B ballad format. Helping others has always been his goal, if elected to be employed by a radio, cable, or major broadcasting network. Dick Gregory formerly of WOL-AM radio in Washington, DC and Carl T. Rowan’s informative commentary inspired the author to consider communications as a career. He chose to attend broadcasting school three years prior to graduating from T.C. Williams high school in 1980. In 1994 he and his business partner/wife founded Urban Cultural Productions, Inc., Urban Based Records, Recording Studio & Publishing. In 2000 he returned to school to study Film & Video and Recording Technology at Full Sail University. He completed his internship at EMD Music Marketing (Also known as Capitol Records / EMI Recorded Music Group N. A.) He earned his Recording Technology Certificate from Northern Virginia Community College in 2004 before undergoing brain surgery later that year. In 2006, up through 2008 he released a limited version of thee docudrama “An Artist Against Deadly School Violence®” Presents “Through My Eyes: The Making of a Monster” (The dark mini-movie/trailer) to select newspapers, magazines, radio stations, PBS television/radio stations, an educational association, city, county, and state school boards, colleges, universities, churches, and to several actors and or production companies. His broadcasting talents are featured on the song he wrote and produced titled “Stand Up Y’all (fight 4 what’s yours).” In 2007 he submitted the docudrama’s (dark mini-movie/trailer) to the “On the Lot” reality show for consideration. He produced a treatment for a Hip-Hop based reality show. Upon communicating with FremantleMedia, he was granted the proper release form to submit the outline for consideration.
