After a chance meeting in San Francisco in 1999 of two diametrically dissimilar men; one a Conservative Israeli Talmudic scholar, the other a gay English artist, they are immediately propelled into a complex and often perplexing relationship. This psychologically intense though frequently amusing account of unlikely bedfellows, involves sexual identity, fantasy, and a fierce struggle to retain their fundamental identities, where ultimately they need all their resolve to fight for individual mental, spiritual and physical survival.
