About the author
Kevin was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and Prince Georges County, Maryland. In addition to beginning to read at 3 years old, he walked from his mother's southeast, D.C. apartment to his grandmother's house; crossing two busy roadways to get there — a dangerous and daring feat for any 3 year old. Determination has always been in his blood. He soared high with the Eagles of Gonzaga College High School before touring the country and world with the United States Marine Corps. He completed his 8 years with the Marines as a Staff Sergeant and elevated his skills as a journalist. He became a Master Instructor at the Defense Information School, in Fort Meade, Md. — teaching the basic fundamentals of writing and editing practices to new servicemembers in the Basic Journalist and Editors Courses. He obtained his bachelors and master's degrees in Business Management from National-Louis University in Evanston, Illinois. Kevin continues to hone his skills and abilities through writing, editing, teaching, and coaching civil servants in the U.S. Federal Government.
