Description

Sequel to Jeffery Boyd's first young adult novel, “Wolf’s Head Bay-The Journey Home”, in this action/adventure, 2-volume thriller, a camping trip into Michigan’s Upper Peninsula goes terrifyingly awry after Lynn meets and befriends Dylan, a charismatic teenage boy who draws her, Jeremy, his brothers and their friends, into a frightening ordeal, ultimately leading them to an abandoned, underground missile silo. While the frightened group of kids are held captive by the Colonel, a dangerous man, intent on controlling the world’s human trafficking network, Jeremy makes a chilling discovery involving corrupt Washington powerbrokers. The desperate group of kids make a harrowing escape by helicopter, but not before collecting evidence exposing the criminal activity. With Jeremy at the controls, they are pursued by the black Scorpion and quickly forced down into a remote section of the northern wilderness.

About the author

Hello, my name Jeff Boyd, and I love to write, especially my Wolf’s Head Bay novels. It wasn’t always this way. In school I HATED writing. In college, in a screen writing class, I received an ‘F’ on a writing assignment. And deservedly so. It was pretty awful. Now I write for me and the enjoyment I get from it--the creative process. I also love my characters. For those reasons, my stories are very good—and exciting. We can all look at our lives and say, “Well, I didn’t do that very well—but that? Yes, I do that very well!” For me it’s that same. Some things I’m not good at. But writing? I write very well. And I love writing fast-paced, dramatic stories, involving the issues of today that haunt our human society. I have an aviation background so helicopters abound in this latest 2-volume action/adventure. I grew up in the 1970’s—the age of the ‘disaster movies’—so I have incorporated that aspect into my storyline. And always with a thoughtful, upbeat conclusion. I don’t do ‘downer’ endings.

So sit back, buckle up, or hunker down in your favorite reading space, and hold on for a blockbuster of an adventure in “Journey of the Courageous Eleven”, concluding in, "The Race for Home”. You will not be disappointed!
