by Madhava Setty MD View author's profile page

Overview

What does being truly awake mean to an Anesthesiologist? This book is an invitation for the curious to re-examine the world from a fresh perspective. Are we misconceiving reality? If so, this would not be the first time we have been down this road. This is a fascinating and entertaining exploration into our history and how we arrive at conclusions. How are anesthesia, astronomy, the monetary system, military secrecy and a so-called "conspiracy theory" connected? You may find the answers astounding.

Description

Today we can find "evidence" that supports any opinion, no matter how outrageous. How are we to discern fact from fiction? Do you rely on science? How can you be certain what the science actually shows? Rather than continuing to rely on our trusted media platforms, is it time to start looking within for the answers? This power to see for ourselves is our intuition, and we have been largely ignoring it as we have become more and more dependent on others for the facts. As a result we now have a deeply divided and fragmented society where parties and subcultures fiercely defend their own poorly investigated truths. Logic dictates that everybody cannot be right; however it is possible that everyone could be wrong. Is it time to stop looking outside ourselves for the answers? Could our intuition be the voice we are looking for? Rediscovering our intuition requires us to first examine our biases and how they have shaped our history. This is a fascinating exploration into how we individually and collectively arrive at conclusions.
