Why Your Children Won't Get To Heaven
by R. J. Wenzel

Overview

"Why Your Children Won't Get To Heaven" tackles the widespread fear among today's Catholics that our children and grandchildren may not be on a clear path to heaven. The fear is rational, considering what those in the next generation are doing and saying about religion these days. This book provides context for our concerns - and offers actions parents can take to assure themselves they've done all they can to help their children.

Description

Catholic parents and grandparents today have good reason to fear their children may be in danger of not getting to heaven, considering what our next generation is doing and saying about religion. "Why Your Children Won't Get To Heaven" provides context for the fear and a game plan for conquering it. One element of our Catholic faith – Sacred Catholic Tradition - is key to the solution. Generations of today's Catholics have been raised in the Church, but were denied (knowingly or unknowingly) much of our Sacred Tradition. "Why Your Children Won't Get To Heaven" breaks new ground in spelling out what happened to Tradition … by journeying alongside real Catholics in the pew through their true-life experiences, as the Church changed from what it was before Vatican II in the 1960's to what it is today. Having completed the "Embers" journey, the reader's understanding of Sacred Catholic Tradition serves as the foundation for tackling two important questions. The first: Why our children and grandchildren do what they do and believe what they profess to believe. (Reasons are varied but they fall into three categories, the largest of which links directly back to Tradition's absence.) The second question: Whether their behaviors and beliefs can be influenced, setting course for a family reunion in eternity. (Yes, there is hope. The most effective course of action will depend on our child's attitude, and action plans are developed for each of three possibilities.) We live in a uniquely good time to help our children get to Heaven. This opportunity is explained, but it comes with a warning … time may be short!
