Where Magic Lives

Have you ever wondered where magic comes from? "Where Magic Lives" is the story of seven-year-old Abigale, who loves the stories Nana tells about the fairies that live in her Garden. Sitting in Nana's warm lap, Abigale's imagination takes her to a place where nothing bad happens and rabbits talk. But a little voice in the back of her head is beginning to doubt Nana's stories. Abigale wants the stories to be real and at the same time is afraid that there is no magic – until one night, Nana leans over and whispers in her ear, "Are you inspired? What story have you invented? Magic is as close as your imagination. It is there- inside of you. Believe!"

Written for 5–12-year-old children, Where Magic Lives is about that moment when a child discovers the difference between fiction and reality. It is about the disappointment felt when the stories and fictional characters we believed in and loved, lose their mystique. Not wanting her granddaughter to lose that sense of wonder and hope Nana invented a Garden where real magic lives, and Abigale discovers her own magic.
