About the author
Viona Loos (nee Green) was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, in June 1968 and is the second youngest of five siblings. She married her German husband in 1997 in Sunyani, Ghana, where they lived for seven years. Her two children were born in Germany, and her husband's work took them to Uganda, East Timor, and Ethiopia. Although spouses of expatriates were not allowed employment in these countries, Viona ran her own design shop/ African restaurant in East Timor and boutique in Uganda. After 15 years of marriage, the couple divorced, and Viona and her children continued their travels to Indonesia, the Philippines, and then to England, where they now reside. This book is about Viona's 14 month stay (in 2015 and 2016) with her children in the Philippines, including their experiences, travel tips, and the ups and downs of everyday life there.
