To what lengths would you go to escape your problems? "Victor" is a compelling suspense novel about a melancholy helicopter pilot looking for a way out of his financial woes. When Victor Drueding finds himself a target of the shadow operation he foolishly involves himself with, he and his wife steal their helicopter to escape the immediate threat. They travel through unfamiliar and uncertain territory, seeking refuge. Although frightened and suspicious, they put their trust, and ultimately their lives, into the hands of strangers. Was this the wisest decision...or a fatal one? Only time will tell.
To what lengths would you go to escape your problems? Victor Drueding was a woeful family man with chronic financial trouble. His only true passion and joy was found in the world of helicopters, where he could escape the burdens of everyday life. Then, into his life walked Eriq Steed, a skinny, strange-looking man with an oversized smile. Steed made Victor a life-changing offer that would involve his flying skills. For the better part of a year, Victor flew for Steed and his shadow operation. But when Victor became their target, he stole their helicopter, and with his wife, fled. The couple's hope was that, with time and distance, they would fall off the radar screen of the evil men Victor had worked for... ...they were wrong.
About the author
Robert Hilfinger is a new author living in the Boston area. His next book entitled "Stan" is about a young boy from a small Midwestern town. Stan had led a charmed life, excelling in whatever he set his mind to. By twelve years old, he had reached statewide recognition in two seemingly incongruous endeavors; baseball and piano. Qualifying for state championships in each, his dilemma was which of the two simultaneous events he would compete in. Then tragedy struck.
