Overview
A quiet, pleasant afternoon spent in the shade of a willow tree prompts a close look at some of the tiny inhabitants and visitors there. Thoughts about these little backyard denizens are expressed in verse of various meters and rhythms. The colors and soft edges of the illustrations, done in block and gadget printing, contribute to the ambience of a warm, hazy summer day.
