Overview

"Umussy – The Princess of Green Hell" - is an uncommon story about a white man who traveled the jungle of the Amazon where he encountered a native woman, a real Amazone, the love of his life. They started living beyond borders, between civilization and wilderness, between two continents, between two mentalities. Two lives which couldn't be more different but inside their hearts they were ONE since the first day of encounter. This is the story of how they met each other.

About the author

Christian Blankenhorn is an Airbus engineer, who decided in 2010 together with two friends to travel South America. The journey was planned to Machu Picchu (Peru), from there via a few days at the Brazilian east coast towards the jungle of Amazonas (Brazil) and then back to the beach front of Fortaleza to relax. During this journey, Christian Blankenhorn found Umussy, a native Pocahontas-like beauty, the daughter of a world-known shaman, Raimundo Kissibi Kumu, chief of Dessana tribe nearby Manaus. Umussy and Christian fell in love with each other at first sight, and despite many obstacles, they managed to overcome distance, separation, depression, tribal conflicts, desire and much more. Now after eight years they are in love like the first day and have two children. They settled a comfortable jungle lodge, maintain an original ritual house (Oca) and are still living their lives beyond borders. Christian works in Europe and the Middle East. Umussy lives in Brazil. Both travel regularly between the worlds. They are united three months per year. The rest is via social media and video conferencing.
